• What do you want from your creams serums and facial potions.
    I've been doing some research whilest I've been off and here's a few things I've come up with.
    Here's my list of some great ingredients to look out for in your products.❤️

    VITAMIN C - gives your collogen and elastin the boost it needs to carry on producing. Look for a product that contains above 20%. 

    VITAMIN B3 - also know as niacin amide. Targets signs of premature aging including large pores, sundamaged skin and very dry skin. It concentrates the elasticity of your skin in turn making your pores shrink.

    FRANKINCENSE - help reduce acne blemishes, the appearance of large pores, prevent wrinkles, and can even help lift and tighten skin to naturally slow signs of aging. The oil can be used anywhere where the skin becomes saggy, such as the abdomen or under the eyes.

    HYULORONIC ACID - is a natural component of our human body and this is what really keeps are skinkind of hydrated and nice and plump as well as baby soft!
    Tip! Use you HYULORONIC acid serum like you usually would your serum and then using a mineral water, spray over the top of the serum. It will really plump and refresh giving that younger looking skin. 

    MYRRH - help soothe chapped or cracked skin. It is commonly added to skin care products to help with moisturizing and also for fragrance. Ancient Egyptians used it to prevent aging and maintain healthy skin.

    JOJOBA OIL - the jojoba oils structure is kind of similar to our skin structure is as ut replicates or disolves your skins oils.

    SANDALWOOD - high in antioxidants that can help reduce damage caused by free radicals, which promote aging.

    COCONUT - contains anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties that may aid in the healing of skin.

    ARGAN OIL - is best for moisturizing, softening, and plumping the skin.

    SQUALANE oil is best for plumping, moisturizing, and improving skin elasticity.
    Oils with retinol are best for firming, smoothing, and fading skin damage and discoloration.

    ROSEHIP SEED oil is best for nourishing, regenerating, and repairing the skin.

    MARULA oil is best for protecting, toning, and erasing fine lines and wrinkles.

    RETINOL - was actually first prescribed by dermatologists as an acne treatment, but as word of its skin-smoothing abilities spread, the demand for both prescription and over-the-counter versions soared, even among acne-free women. And with decades of studies proving these retinol benefits really can turn back the clock, it’s now “the gold standard because it honestly decreases fine lines and wrinkles.



  • Another simple and highly effective do-it-yourself facial serum made with nourishing botanicals. Organic  Jojoba and Lavender, wonderful for blackhead prone skin.  Too make a 15ml bottle. 14mls of Organic Jojoba, then add 20 drops Organic Lavender Essential Oil and 5 drops Vitamin E oil. mix together. this product if stored away from light and heat should last for 6 months. 

  • Great natural Ice cream

  •  that only contains four ingredient
  • bananas, cut into 1 inch slices, 1/2 cup frozen strawberries, sliced, 2 Tbsp coconut milk or cream, 1/2 tsp vanilla. blend together in a high power blender. 
  • Easy Peasy Body Scrub.  4  tablespoons of sugar or salt and 3 tablespoons of Light Olive oil. add a few drops of lavender oil or grapefruit oil Essential oil and mix together. Apply all over before taking a shower to wash it off.
  • Try adding a drop of Geranium to any face oil or moisturiser. Geranium is wonderful for skin care and will bring a glow to your skin.

  • MOISTURISE While pregnant, your skin cells can become dry easily. Therefore, it is important to keep the skin hydrated using a moisturiser that is suitable for your skin and acceptable by your obstetrician. After you wash, use a good moisturising body lotion to trap in moisture and to counteract the drying effect of water.


  • DRINK MORE WATER Drink plenty of water so that it flushes your system to help hold the moisture. AND if Pregnant the number of glasses you should be drinking each day increases.

  • Lavender oil is fantastic for taking the heat out of sunburn or any type of burn and will help prevent blistering. Use neat and re-apply when the skin becomes painful again. (You might want to dilute this with almond or olive oil for very young children or put a few drops in the bath.)

  • Add a couple (2) of drops off your favorite Aromatherapy oil to your shower tray on a morning to set your mood for the day.


  • Foot Facts Did you know: Each foot has 26 bones An average adult person takes between 4000 and 6000 steps a day Skin of the feet is thicker than that of the rest of the body. Therefore don't use body lotion on the feet - it won't work! If we afforded our feet even a fraction of the attention we give our faces it would make a tremendous difference. With the emergence of such fabulous shoes and all-year round sandals it is not surprising we are suddenly focusing on our feet. Flip flops and sandals are so girly, cracked heels and dry skin are not! Top tips: Cut nails or file them straight across, and never cut down the sides. Remove old nail varnish and don't leave it to dehydrate the nail. Foot file on DRY skin once a week. Eradicate the signs of aging with a good foot moisturiser. Use an Intensive Treatment Oil at home once a week, reap the benefits of illuminated skin and nails. If you have painful feet seek advice and see a Chiropodist regularly to keep problems at bay. Change footwear daily. Well moisturised healthy looking feet are a beauty and fashion must have, and so liberating!
  • 'Adding one drop of facial oil to your daytime face cream in the morning will give your complexion an instant lift and glow and prep your skin for smooth make-up application.'


  • Massage
  • Of course, massage is an effective and enjoyable way to help increase metabolism. It is proven that receiving massage therapy at least once a week can have a wonderful effect on the body to help with losing weight. One benefit of massage is in reducing stress levels in the body. High stress contributes to the body’s storage of excess fat, and lowers metabolism levels. Massage puts your muscles into a better fat burning mode, as it improves flexibility and prepares the muscles for more efficient, effective work. Massage also greatly improves blood flow and circulation throughout the body. This contributes to increasing the rate of metabolism and helps burn fat faster.


  • Steam your face over a bowl of hot water with a towel on your head to open the pores and draw out impurities, slosh with very cold water to close the pores and tighten skin – then apply a light moisturiser.

  • Buffing of nails encourages growth by improving the circulation

  • Massage regularly from outside and around the eye area with moisturiser to help remove dark shadow and bags – this assists with lymphatic drainage around the eye area.

  • Chilled apple slices are far more effective than cucumbers at reducing under-eye puffiness.
 
  • If facial scrubs are to harsh for your skin, try washing with a muslin cloth. It acts as a gentle exfoliator without leaving you red and saw.

  • Don't forget your hands this winter. Make sure you pamper thoughs hands with a rich hand cream.
