REFLEXOLOGY THERAPY
What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is a massage technique applied to the feet. It can also be done on the hands and ears.
The technique applies different amounts of pressure to the feet, providing pain relief, rebalancing and bringing the body back to homeostasis. Back to its natural balance.
Reflexology treatment emphasizes the care of the Whole person not just their physical level but their emotional, mental and spiritual levels also.
Reflexology involves the application of pressure and movements to the feet, correlating areas of the feet with parts of the body , so it can help to restore blocked energy pathways in the body restoring normal energy and balance to the body. The therapy encourages the body to work naturally, restoring it to it's natural healthy balance.
The treatment is deeply relaxing and is a very safe therapy.
A full reflexology treatment can last for approximately 1 hour although the first treatment is to include a past and present questionnaire of your health, lifestyle and diet.
Please note that any information given is treated in the strictest confidence.

Here's a little history.
Reflexology is evident through out history. It has appeared in different cultures from east to west, there is evidence that reflexology was practiced as far back as 2500BC by the Egyptians, a wall hanging was found depicting the practice if reflexology by physicians on patients.
Reflexology was also practiced in Ancient Indian, Buddhist monks are said to have traveled to China and Japan spreading and teaching this practice and technique
I modern times, the early 1900's an American Dr William Fitzgerald developed the theory of there being zones of energy pathways within the body which influences the internal organs. He described this as Zone Therapy.
This concept was developed further by a fellow American, therapist Eunice Ingham, who is regaded as the pioneer of Reflexology in its modern form. She is regarded as "The Mother" of modern Reflexology as we understand it today
It was introduced to Britain in the 1960's. It is now taught and practiced in many other countries all over the world.
